A Tradition of Excellence: An Exhibition of Work by Brookfield Craft Center Faculty

The Brookfield Craft Center is proud to host A Tradition of Excellence: Works by the Brookfield Craft Center Faculty from August 20 through September 10. This unique exhibition will be held in the Lynn Tendler Bignell Gallery with an opening reception from 5-8 PM on Saturday, August 20.

This exhibit recognizes exceptional of works from over 30 faculty members representing the glass, jewelry, fiber, forge, woodturning and ceramics studios.  The artists represented in this exhibition include: Jim Degen, Rachel Morris, Maureen Henriques, Chris Doherty, Matt Parkinson, Kaitlin Clark, Clare Lewis, Will Talbot, Joanne Conant, Christine Wilkinson, Dawn Lombard, Danna Phalen, Souby Boski, Keith Tompkins, Katherine Corigliano, Ellen Morrell, Don Metz, Jeannette Shanahan, Colin Harrison, Linda McMillan, Lori Meehan, Sally Williams, Jennifer O’Brien, Alan Ganek, Robin Sherwood-Armour, Rosemary Erb-Fawcett, Beverly Lewis.  Many of the faculty members are local and reside in Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Milford, Newtown, Ridgefield and Woodbury.

“This is the fifth exhibition this year” remarked Howard Lasser, the Center’s Executive Director, “And it is by far the most varied, providing a look at the fine work of our many talented faculty.”

The Gallery and Gift Shop hours are Tuesday – Friday 1 – 5  PM, Saturday 11-5 PM, Sunday 12-4 PM or by appointment.
