Home and Away: The Photography of Colin Harrison at Brookfield Craft Center

About the Show: Colin and his wife Lynn have lived in Brookfield since October 1982 and have put down roots here. They also have a long and deep affection for Switzerland, where they lived at the time of their wedding, where they still have many close friends, and where they maintain a tiny home in the alpine village of Lauterbrunnen, some 10 miles south of Interlaken. This exhibition compares and contrasts these two homes ‐ the intimate scale and colonial history of New England and the magnificence of the ancient glacial valleys and mountains of Lauterbrunnen. It is their hope that viewers enjoy these scenes from their lives at home and away.
