The Mosaics Workshop is a fun, hands-on workshop will teach how to plan, design, prepare the tesserae, create and grout a mosaic tile plaque. Different types of glazed tiles will be used while we discuss so many other types of material suitable for mosaic use. Safety and tool use will be explored as well as the history and uses of mosaics from past to present.
Taught by Joanne and Bruce Hunter.
For ages 10-18, this class is limited to 6 students.

Teacher Bio
Joanne and Bruce Hunter own The Art Spot, a Fine Arts School in Connecticut, teaching children and adults watercolor, pastels, oils and many other art and hand craft techniques. Other programs include Artist in Residence programming in schools throughout the east coast, private art lessons and portfolio development for high school students. They are award-winning artists, have pieces in many private collections, and show in galleries and regional shows. They are well known for their collaborative pieces of community and school driven public art works created in mosaic mural medium.
