The jewelry program at Brookfield Craft Center is designed to encourage and challenge introductory through advanced students with diverse workshop offerings and open studio bench time. New students can try a Sampler Workshop, or gain a basic overview of jewelry making with Silversmithing 101 and 102. Advance to technique-based workshops in metals fabrication, PMC, enameling, wax model making and more. The Jewelry Studio holds 8 students at counter-height benches and is equipped with combination rolling mills, Bonny Doon hydraulic press, flex shafts, oxy-acetylene torches, enameling and PMC kilns, buffing machines, grinders, belt sander, drill press, bench shear, waxers, pitch bowls, raising/forming stakes, tumbler with steel shot, hand tools and much more.

Open Studio:

Work independently in BCC’s Jewelry Studio at any scheduled open studio for a drop-in fee of $40 per session (cash or check, paid at the door), or purchase sessions in advance at a discounted rate (single session – $30, two sessions – $54, three sessions – $72).  Sessions must be used within 12 weeks of purchase Enjoy this time to work on class projects and practice techniques. Eligible participants are current or recent BCC students who have completed at least one class within the past 12 months. Current BCC members are also eligible to participate if they possess basic skills as determined by the studio monitor.
