Mayann is a mixed media artist who has been creating and exhibiting award winning art in the US and internationally for many years. She favors natural materials such as cotton, wool, and silk and glass and clay to embellish and bring her pieces to life, however everything is fair game. Mayann is a member of Studio Art Quilt Associates, Northern Star Quilters’ Guild, Greenwich Art Society, and Greenwich Common Threads. She has produced the Northern Star Quilters’ Guild nationally recognized annual quilt show and display for nearly a decade. Her company Peace by Piece Blankets (PeacebyPieceBlankets.com) manufactures custom weighted quilts commonly used by individuals with autism or Asperger’s syndrome.
