Jeannie Thomma

Fiber – Felting

Jeannie received her BA from Connecticut College and an MS from Pace University.  She has been working exclusively in fiber for more than a decade, specializing in the art of hand-felted wool. Her passion for fiber has lead her to develop “fiber-fusion”, a process which celebrates the mingling of many fiber techniques (felting, nuno, knitting, crocheting, weaving) to yield a single sensational creative work. Jeannie teaches classes and workshops in the Northeast and exhibits her artwork nationally. She worked as a public school art teacher; a gallery owner, and has curated numerous exhibitions.  She is a Board Member of the CT Chapter of the Women’s Art Caucus, exhibits work nationally, and maintains juried membership affiliations with numerous art centers.
